As most of you know, unless you have been under a rock, there is chaos in Egypt. The citizens of the country want to force out their current leader, President Mubarak. This attempt to overthrow the current government has ignited other countries to do the same.
I think the establishment of a new government in a developed country such as Egypt is good, it shows that on the surface everything looks good but when a majority of the population is mistreated they have the power to control the country. In most countries the upper class gets the credit for all the work and are treated better, but in truth the working and lower classes make the country run. This revolution in Egypt can spark revolutions all over the world in countries that neglect the working class.
This poses a threat to the United States, not only is a majority of the population in poverty but the US uses underprivileged people in developed countries for cheap labor. If other countries experience the same revolutions it will shatter the world economy and cripple the society runs. I think the revolutions will do good for the planet as a whole
Don't get me wrong, revolutions in the past have been violent and have destroyed countries, but revolutions can be peaceful. President Kennedy said, "Those who make peaceful revolution impossible make violent revolution inevitable." Even as a president of the most powerful nation in the country acknowldged the existence of peaceful revolutions. These are actually more practical than one will think as long as the government does not overreact.
With that I say "Workers of the world unite, speak your mind don't be taken for granted make revolution but do it in peace"
